Community Square by the Eagle River Rotary Club

Our Club and our Members are proud to support the Eagle River Revitalization Program's Community Square by the Eagle River Rotary Club Project.

Our community has transformed a previously vacant large corner lot in downtown Eagle River to an inviting and vibrant community gathering and green space.

The Community Square has been enhanced with artificial turf and offers shaded picnic tables, benches, a pet waste station, ashtrays, trash/recycling containers, portable planters, and seasonal decorations.

To date, we have raised $493,570. A ground breaking was held in September and work has begun on the building, which will offer public restrooms, a warming kitchen, food service counter and utilities. On an occasional basis, the site will be available for special events but year-round, daily, it will offer a place for locals and visitors to find solitude while visiting the downtown area. It will also offer a place for social outdoor dining with carryout being offered from the local restaurants.

Your donation - of any amount - will help complete this project!

Our Community

Each year the Rotary Club of Eagle River supports educational and humanitarian projects throughout our communities.

Some of our projects include roadside cleanup, support for the annual fishing event for Wounded Warriors, support for the Greater Eagle River Tennis Association (GERTA), the Eagle River Recreation Association's Save the Dome campaign, and more.

The World

Donations were made to the Rotary Club of San Felipe in Mexico for nutritional supplements.

Eradicating Polio

Rotary launched its polio eradication program in 1985, and in 1988 helped launch the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Rotary members have since contributed more than AUD 1.3 billion (USD 1.2  billion) and countless volunteer hours to protect more than two billion children in 122 countries from polio.

Our Club offers three $1,000 scholarships to graduates of Northland Pines High School, Three Lakes High School, and to a high school student attending Nicolet College.  For more information, contact the guidance office at the high school.

Ambassadorial Scholarships and World Peace Fellowships are offered through Rotary International. See for more information.

Our club created the Eagle River Rotary Club Foundation as means of encouraging contributions to our major fundraising events. The Foundation operates our annual Wine and Cheese Fundraiser, a major source of funds for Club projects. Because of the tax-exempt status of the Foundation, we are able to provide receipts to donors who support our programs.
